How long will it take to build my new home?

Most Avatar homes are built to order and delivered to customers within about six months. Some of our communities also have a selection of newly completed homes available for quicker move-in. >> back to top

Do you have a mortgage company that handles your financing?

What can I expect to save on my utility bills?

Most of our homes come standard with an array of energy-efficient features, and you can expect a savings of approximately 70 percent vs. a code-compliant home. Our green homes do more than just save you money on your energy bills. Building green helps the environment, while also increasing your home's comfort and durability. >> back to top

Can I check on my home while it’s under construction?

Yes. In fact, we schedule meetings with you at key points throughout the construction process to keep you involved every step of the way. Remember, it is an active construction site and proper clothing and shoes are required. Also, for your safety, home buyers may not enter the home when any of the trades are actively working, and must be accompanied by an Avatar representative at all times during the visit. >> back to top

What are typical closing costs?

Closing costs on a cash transaction typically include escrow fees, homeowner association transfer and set-up fees, and other miscellaneous costs, when applicable, such as courier, bank wires, etc. Additional closing costs on a mortgaged purchase vary by specific loan program, so you will want to check with your loan officer for details – but typical closing costs include: prorated interest, homeowners insurance premium, and reserves for insurance, HOA fees and property taxes. >> back to top

Will someone help me select my cabinets and flooring?

Why should I buy a new home instead of a foreclosure?

A new home is all yours – your selections, your brand new carpet, tile, cabinets and appliances. Everything is new, sparkling clean and ready for you and your family. When you choose a new Avatar home, you get the peace of mind that comes with our new home warranty plan, while foreclosures often come with expensive repair work needed. Plus, the many energy-saving features Avatar includes add even more to the long-term value and comfort of your new home. >> back to top

How much will I spend in optional features?

Avatar homes are well-appointed with beautiful ‘included’ features, so many of our customers spend only a minimal amount on optional features. Your Avatar Sales Team will review the various options available for your new home, and help you select the ones that work within your budget and provide the convenience and style you desire in your new home. >> back to top
