Avatar expands Customer Care Center in Tampa
October 16, 2005
In an effort to improve customer service ... from contract to closing and beyond ... Avatar Properties Inc., one of Florida’s most successful builders and developers, has expanded its Customer Care Center to better serve Tampa Bay-area home buyers.
The center was established to anticipate home buyers’ needs during every phase of the home-construction process, says David Pardue, manager of Avatar’s Tampa division.
The center expansion is in response to the growing demand for Avatar homes in the Tampa Bay area, Pardue adds. Avatar entered the market in 2003, offering single-family homes at the master-planned community of Cory Lake Isles in New Tampa. In addition to Cory Lake Isles, Avatar builds single-family residences in Sterling Hill, a master-planned community developed by Devco Communities in Hernando County. Avatar also plans to develop several more Tampa Bay-area communities.
The 15-person Customer Care Center is located at Avatar’s administrative offices, adjoining Cory Lake Isles.
After signing the new-home contract, each Avatar home buyer is assigned a customer- care representative to guide them through the step-by-step Customer Care Program, which continues up to a year after the buyer has moved in.
Avatar Properties Inc. is the development arm of Avatar Holdings Inc., a public company primarily engaged in real estate operations in Florida and Arizona. Avatar Holdings has earned several APEX Awards from Big Builder magazine, including recognition as America’s top homebuilder for most innovative product design in both homes and communities.
In addition to Cory Lake Isles and Sterling Hill, Avatar develops or builds in several major master-planned communities in Florida: Poinciana, Solivita and Bellalago, near Orlando; TerraLargo in Lakeland; as well as Woodslanding and Banyan Bay in south Florida.
