Avatar® golf tournament to benefit YMCA, Heavenly Hoofs

POINCIANA, FL---Registrations are being accepted for the 8th annual Avatar®-Solivita® Charity Golf Tournament to be played Friday, September 5th at the Stonegate Golf Club in Solivita®, the award-winning active-adult community by Avatar® Properties Inc. in Poinciana.
Donations of $400 per foursome include a 7:30 a.m. continental breakfast and post-tournament lunch with beverages, according to Jeff Pashley, tournament chairman at Avatar®. Hole sponsorships are $150 each. Trophies will be awarded to the winners, closest to the pin, and longest drives (ladies and men’s divisions).
Net proceeds from the 18-hole scramble with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start will go to the YMCA of Central Florida and Heavenly Hoofs, a Kissimmee-based organization operating out of Heritage Park that uses equine therapy to enhance the physical, emotional and cognitive growth of persons with life-threatening illnesses or disabilities. The Avatar®-Solivita® Charity Golf Tournament has raised over $75,000 since its inception for local charities and organizations, according to Pashley.
