Avatar’s Central Florida Division posts 1,046 sales at 9-month mark

The Central Florida Division of Avatar Properties Inc. posted 179 new home sales for $61.9 million in the third quarter, boosting nine-month sales to 1,046 for $303 million. The Division’s communities of Poinciana, Solivita and Bellalago collectively averaged over 116 sales per month for the 9-month period. Solivita, Avatar’s award-winning active adult community on the Polk County side of Poinciana, led the way at the 9-month mark with 620 sales for $177.4 million, an average of $286,129 per transaction. Solivita posted 116 third quarter sales for $39.7 million, an average of $342,241 per sale.
Bellalago, Avatar’s upscale gated community alongside Lake Tohopekaliga and the 2004 Excel Award winner as the Best Master-Planned Community in Florida, totaled 129 sales for $57.4 million at the 9-month mark, an average of $444,961 per transaction. Bellalago posted 58 third quarter sales for $20.7 million, an average of $356,897 per sale.
Avatar’s primary housing in Poinciana, a 47,000-acre master-planned community in northwest Osceola and northeast Polk counties, accounted for 297 sales for $68.2 million at the 9-month mark, an average of $229,630 per transaction.
Avatar currently is building single-family homes at several locations in and adjacent to Poinciana. Avatar’s primary homes in Poinciana are currently priced from the $180s to $250s, while homes in Solivita are presently priced from the mid-$100s to $400s. Homes at Bellalago are currently priced from the mid-$300s to $500s.
