Avatar’s Central Florida Division posts 402 first quarter home sales

Averaging a robust 4.5 sales per day and 134 per month, the Central Florida Division of Avatar Properties Inc. had a solid first quarter, posting 402 new home sales for a volume of $147.3 million.

The Division, which is developing Poinciana, Solivita, Bellalago and the Isles of Bellalago, is currently on a pace to improve on last year’s performance of 1,352 sales.

Poinciana, ranked the second best selling master-planned community in the United States for the past two years, generated a total of 272 first quarter sales for Avatar for a volume of $87.3 million, an average of $321,324 per transaction.

Avatar’s 182 primary home sales in Poinciana produced a volume of $50.5 million for an average sale of $277,506, while Solivita, Avatar’s award-winning active-adult community in Poinciana, produced 90 first quarter sales for a volume of $36.8 million, an average of $408,889 per transaction.

Bellalago, Avatar’s upscale gated community alongside Lake Tohopekaliga, and the company’s  neighboring Isles of Bellalago community, totaled 130 sales for a volume of $60 million, an average of $461,538 per transaction.

Avatar’s primary homes in Poinciana, which encompasses 47,000 acres in northwest Osceola and northeast Polk counties, are currently priced from the high $200s, while homes in Solivita are presently priced from the high $100s to high $400s.  Homes at Bellalago are currently priced from the $370s to $600s, and homes in the Isles of Bellalago are presently priced from the $290s.
