Chalifoux plans development in Avatar’s Poinciana Industrial Park

December 06, 2005

Longtime Kissimmee-based developer and general contractor Thomas Chalifoux has announced plans for a $30-$35 million mixed-use development in Poinciana Office & Industrial Park.

The 22.75-acre site at the corner of Poinciana Boulevard and Robert McLane Boulevard, just south of 17-92, was purchased for $2.73 million from Avatar Properties Inc., developer of the 1,545-acre office and industrial park, largest in Osceola County.

Preliminary plans for the site, which has approximately 900 feet of frontage on Poinciana Boulevard, call for a mix of retail, professional office, office warehouse and small businesses, according to Chalifoux, who heads up Chalifoux Management Group and is a member of the Osceola County School Board.

Chalifoux has been building and developing commercial and retail projects in Osceola, Orange and Seminole counties since 1978. In addition to retail space, professional offices, office warehouses and small businesses, his firm has built banks, fire stations, churches and a variety of other facilities.
