New style 7-Eleven® store coming to The Pointe in Poinciana

POINCIANA, FL --- A 7-Eleven convenience store sporting the nationwide chain's newest design is coming to The Pointe, a major retail center under development at the corner of Poinciana Boulevard and Pleasant Hill Road.Construction of the "new look", 2,940 sq. ft. store with stacked stone knee wall and decorative rooftop pediments is expected to start in the next 60 days and be complete in time for a planned February 2009 opening, according to Doug Stevens, senior real estate representative in Florida for 7-Eleven, Inc. which has more than 200 stores in the Greater Orlando area.
The new 7-Eleven retail outlet will provide fresh sandwiches and donuts daily, and will also feature five fuel islands with 10 fueling stations, including diesel.
Belleair Development Group of Clearwater/St. Petersburg acquired the site for 7-Eleven the property which was purchased from Avatar® Properties Inc., developer and leasing agent for The Pointe. Belleair has handled the development of approximately 30 Florida sites for 7-Eleven over the past 10 years.
The 7-Eleven store will join a 148,000 sq. ft. Lowe's home improvement store that anchors The Pointe, as well as a 7,350 sq. ft. AutoZone that opened in August and a 2,500 sq. ft. Colonial Bank currently under construction, according to Hank Yunes, vice president of commercial operations for Avatar®.Avatar® is the developer of, and primary homebuilder in, Poinciana, a 47,000-acre master-planned community in northwest Osceola and northeast Polk counties.
Avatar® is negotiating with several other national retailers considering out parcels at The Pointe along Pleasant Hill Road and Poinciana Boulevard, said Yunes.
